Katie-Thankfully mine ended about 11 weeks and didn't start until 7 weeks. There are 4 of my friends all pregnant and due within 1-2 months of each other. I recommend trying seaband wrist bands that you can get a Wal-Mart near the motion sickness medicine. They seem to work some. Also Phenegran you can take while pregnant, but it knocks you out. Just keep hanging in there. I am 20 weeks and feeling a lot better, and I can only hope yours will go away as well. We find out tomorrow or in November what the gender is and we will tell you guys.

Hang in there Katie! Ben, just continue to be patient with her. AND indulge her cravings when she has them...it's supposedly her body telling her she needs something that is in whatever it is she is craving. You will definitely cherish the entire pregnancy...even the sickness. It is all worth it in the end. I am thankful that I didn't have that but my sister was sick for 38 weeks almost..she made the most of the good days though. Try some of those 'wives tales' you hear for suggestions to prevent the nausea and sickness...some really do work..it's just a matter of finding what works for you.

I thought it was quite interesting that in your blog, you referred to "BOB" as a "He."You guys are really set on having a boy! LOL! Everything will turn out fine. Kate, I hope you start feeling better and can start eating regular meals. For someone who likes to eat, that must be rough. And.I wouldn' worry so much about what everyone else says about their pregnancy and if it is a girl or a boy. Everybody and every circumstance/situation is different! Hang in there. Once you get to the end of this, the outcome will be so worth it! Miss ya!

I've heard "never get too hungry or too full." You could try keeping crackers by the bed to snack on in the middle of the night so you don't wake up with an empty belly? What killed me every morning was brushing my teeth... gag reflex? No fun feeling sick! I hope it clears up in a few weeks.

Katie has heard that too... that being extra sick means it will be a girl. While staying with us after the hurricane, my mom overheard this theory. She pointed out that she had 3 boys and was sick as a dog each and every time.
