Ben and I took a quick trip to San Antonio this weekend. It was not under the best circumstances (a funeral we wanted to attend), but we took advantage of the time to visit with some close friends – Simon, Anna, and their little girl Stella. Even though we only saw them for half a day, we know we will see them again in the near future. November is fast approaching, and therefore so is Wurstfest. Ah, good old Wurstfest – an excuse for Ben to drink lots of beer and for me to eat lots of fried…well…fried everything! I just hope BOB is okay with that idea. He’s still giving me grief these days. Wanna bet that while everyone else is drunk, I’ll be the only one tossing my strüdel? What exactly is the German word for puke?
Ben and I also took some time to just wander around San Antonio for a few hours before going home. We could not stay the entire weekend – dogs and cats were calling my name at the clinic. We did however make time to visit the Alamo. It’s so pretty and relaxing there. I wish we could have spent more time in SA. It seems as if everytime we try to take a trip somewhere, something comes up to cut it short. Thankfully, as I wrote earlier, Wurstfest is fast approaching. Not only that, the California crew (Rick, Amanda, Lola, and Milo) come to visit in a week or two. Plus, we get to visit them in California later this holiday season. So, our long-awaited mini vacations will come eventually. They give us something to look forward to!

And, there is one more thing you can look forard to which is going to the Renaissance Festival with Beth and I!
By the way, “to puke” in German is “kotzen.” I took German in middle school but I have pretty much lost all of it. I looked that one up! Hehe!
Hope all is well! Miss you guys!
