Rick (my older brother) and Amanda are visiting from California and they brought their two kids. Katie and I went over for dinner yesterday evening, taking our two dogs. Katie’s parents joined us. My younger brother, Patrick, came in from Austin and brought his dog. My parents’ two dogs were there, as well. So the count was 9 adults, two kids, 3 Labrador retrievers, one golden retriever, and Turkey Butt, who we think is a German shepherd mix.
During dinner, Rick got up to check on Lola, my 4 year-old niece. He came back a few minutes later and relayed this story.
Lola: (crying)
Rick: What’s wrong Lola?
Lola: The doggy hit me in my nose (sob)!!!
Rick: Oh no!……which one?
Lola: (pointing to her nose) This nose….
…
Lola: Don’t laugh at me Daddy!
