“Hey Lola! I bet you can’t catch me!”
This is an unwise thing to say to a 4-year-old who ate a good breakfast, has residual energy, and is wearing body armor (life jacket).

Notice my shadow in the lower left corner. This is neither staged, posed, nor edited. I was kneeling with the camera to my eye, keeping still, taking beautiful rapid-fire machine gun photos of my adorable niece as she galloped toward me. The sun was almost behind me and I was thinking how lovely the lighting was. I felt that I captured her playful innocence… in the first three shots. The fourth shot was likely a reflex as I tried to get my camera out of the way when she knocked me to the ground. It’s amazing how much momentum a child can have. It took Katie and me several minutes to find my lens cap.

Soon- in about 6 months- you will come to understand the feelings parents have when they come to realize that there are photos of their children that they do not possess. Especially when they are cute ones like the above… so “S H A R E” – digitally please. Thank you!

PS- like the new hot wheels- and yes I was taken aback with the blue- but it is perty!
Okay Amanda, Katie posted a bunch of photos, most of which have at least one of your children in them.
Enjoy.
Ben, how do I download large versions of Lola running at the camera?
Right-click on the photo you want and select open in new window or open in new tab. Switch to the new tab or window. You will now see the photo on the Flickr site. Select the size you want and download it.
