Halloween was a big success for us this year. We hung some very awesome decorations in the front yard (which I failed to take a picture of), paid a visit to the pumpkin patch at church, carved jack-o-lanterns, made incredible pumpkin pie from scratch with Nanny, and went “Trick-or-Treating” with friends. Actually, I’m convinced that without her friend Taylor by her side, Lucy would have stood shy and silent at each house we visited. But, the girls did great together as they took turns ringing doorbells, saying “Trick or Treat,” and then saying “Thank you” as they skipped on to the next house. After two blocks, they were happy and ready to go home (amateurs!).
As you can see, Lucy made a very adorable “Scary Dragon Witch.” Since her friend Taylor was going to be Tinkerbell, I was afraid that Lucy would want wings just like hers when it came time to dress up and go candy hunting. So…I told Lucy (who had already decided to be a scary witch) that we could get her wings, and she could be a dragon witch like Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. She immediately turned to me and said (while motioning to the top of her head), “Momma, I need horns!” So naturally my response was, “You’re right! Dragons need horns. We’ll get horns too!” She was very excited!

Aw, memories. I remember when we went trick or treating together. Best trick or treating ever for me! My neighborhood didn’t give out very good candy, but your neighborhood was awesome!
I like Lucy’s wings! She made a very cute scary dragon witch!
