Civil Discord

This morning I was singing and being goofy with Cora. After a particularly obnoxious high note, Lucy announced, “Daddy, it hurts my ears when you talk like that.” What more polite way can you imagine a 2 (almost 3) year-old to say “Shut Up, Dad!”?

Holy Shift

During the sermon on Easter morning, the pastor was discussing the resurrection. Upon hearing the pastor say “Jesus Christ,” my 3-year-old nephew turned to his mother and exclaimed, “Mommy, he said a bad word.” Mommy had to explain that he said it in a nice way.
